The festivities will begin right as they open the bar up at 1 p.m. Hursh says to expect “a good bowl of chili and a beer as cold as your ex’s heart.” One of the bar’s managers, Jodie Hursh, says this is one of the most highly anticipated events of the season for her patrons, and she is encouraging others to join them. The day will feature specials, raffles, a 3-foot tall Travis Kelce Bobblehead giveaway during halftime, prizes and bragging rights for the best chili. Organizers say it will be an exciting weekend of celebrities, cosplay, gaming and fun. Friday and Saturday’s show times are at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, it is at 2:00 p.m. This is the first of three Friday-to-Sunday performances at the historic Fox Theater. Folks with the show say the stage adaptation brilliantly illuminates the lives of Southern Black women in breathtaking scope while featuring jazz, gospel, blues and ragtime music.
